According to the DEM Party delegation, Öcalan's message stated that laying down arms and the dissolution of the organization require the recognition of democratic politics and a legal framework. Consequently, the path the organization will follow has become a subject of curiosity.

AMNESTY IS NOT ON THE AGENDA

According to information from government sources, it was stated that an amnesty or a regulation regarding the "right to hope" for Öcalan is not on the agenda for now. However, it is noted that conditions at İmralı could be reviewed depending on the progress of the process.

Following Öcalan's call, the PKK is expected to hold a congress in March to clarify its decisions regarding the process.

Ministry of National Defense sources announced that Öcalan's call is being closely monitored but that the fight against terrorism will continue uninterrupted. It was emphasized that operations in Iraq and Syria will continue until the organization completely lays down its arms.
