AKP-linked polling firm, which failed in many elections, puts the ruling party in first place again
The latest poll by the pro-government research company Genar has been released. Unlike many other public opinion research firms, Genar has declared the AKP the leading party.
Genar Research, known for its proximity to the government, has once again declared the AKP the leading party in its latest poll.
The company previously fell into a major error during the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) elections, where its predictions did not match the actual results. However, the new poll found that the AKP is the leading party with 33.7 percent of the vote.
POLL RESULTS RELEASED
Genar Research President İhsan Aktaş shared the results of the poll conducted in October. According to the report, the AKP ranks first with 33.7 percent, while the CHP ranks second with 31.8 percent. In the poll, the DEM Party is in third place with 9.4 percent of the vote, while the MHP is fourth with 8.4 percent.
While the İYİ Party received 4.5 percent of the vote, the Zafer Party's vote share was determined to be 3.7 percent. The vote shares of other parties were listed as follows:
YRP: 2.8
Anahtar Party: 2.1
TİP: 1.3
Saadet Party: 1.1
Other: 1.2
Genar's previous predictions had caused a major fiasco in the TRNC elections. The company had predicted that Ersin Tatar would receive 49.12 percent and Tufan Erhürman would receive 47.12 percent of the vote.
However, the results contradicted this, with Tatar receiving 13.4 percent less than Genar's prediction. This situation led to criticism regarding the company's reliability.
In his report, İhsan Aktaş claimed that the AKP's electoral success is directly related to the government's foreign policy and economic actions.
Aktaş alleged that President Erdoğan's active role in global politics is also effective in domestic politics.
It was stated that the CHP has recently focused on rallies and has directed most of its energy toward the corruption case and judicial process involving Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. Aktaş stated that this stance by the CHP has distanced the party from the rational issues of politics, and for this reason, the party's vote share has declined from 35 percent to 31.8 percent.
