As Erdoğan's silence continues, Mehmet Uçum makes a new statement regarding Bahçeli's Öcalan call

The repercussions of the call made by Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli for terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan to "speak in Parliament" and his call for the "right to hope" continue.

Mehmet Uçum, chief advisor to AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, had stated in a live broadcast he attended recently that there was no disagreement between Erdoğan and Bahçeli regarding Bahçeli's Öcalan call, and that both parties were aware of the steps taken.

While Erdoğan's silence regarding Bahçeli's Öcalan call continues, a new statement has come from his advisor Uçum.

Publishing an article titled "Mr. Bahçeli's historic role!" on his X account, Uçum supported Bahçeli's speech in which he called on PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan to speak at the parliamentary podium, saying, "The call for the lifting of his isolation and, if necessary, for Öcalan to speak at the Parliament's DEM group meeting is also of historic importance."

Uçum also used the expressions, "He is a leader of unique courage who expresses even bringing the 'right to hope' for Öcalan to the agenda, provided that it contributes to the goal of a Turkey without terrorism, by risking everything."

Uçum said the following in his post:

'IT IS CLEAR THEY ARE CHASING STRIFE'

"Our President Erdoğan evaluated the great leadership displayed by Mr. Bahçeli for the goal of a Turkey without terrorism since the opening of Parliament as putting his body on the line for Turkey. This assessment by our Country's Leader is a historic evaluation that recognizes that Mr. Bahçeli builds all his politics on Turkey, that he risks everything when the subject is the homeland, and that he thinks of the country, not votes, and places high value on this great sacrifice Mr. Bahçeli has made for the country.

Mr. Bahçeli's call for the lifting of isolation and, if necessary, for Öcalan to speak at the Parliament's DEM group meeting, conditional on the end of terrorism, the dissolution of the terrorist organization, and the surrender of terrorists to the State, is also of historic importance. This proposal is proof that Mr. Bahçeli is a leader who takes responsibility at the highest level for a Turkey without terrorism. It is clear that those who interpret this as an extreme approach and attribute other meanings to it have vile intentions and are chasing strife."
