CHP at the top in polls! 5-point lead over AKP
CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın made statements regarding developments in the Middle East and Turkey's political agenda during a press conference held at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM). Günaydın stated that the CHP is leading in the polls despite the AKP's manipulative rhetoric.
CHP Group Deputy Chairman Gökhan Günaydın made evaluations regarding the agenda during a press conference at the TBMM.
Günaydın said, "The Middle East has once again gone through a bloody period. The war between Israel and Iran, which was ongoing and evolving toward a ceasefire, took on a different form with the intervention of America. AKP spokespersons have made various statements claiming that 'the nation prefers Erdoğan during times of crisis' and that the AKP's vote share has increased during this period. When we take the averages of the most important polling companies in Turkey, we see that the CHP is clearly in the lead, and we are thus revealing the meaninglessness of these manipulative efforts."
Evaluating the 'who would you vote for if there were a parliamentary election tomorrow' poll conducted by the ANK-AR Research Company, Günaydın said the following:
"When undecided voters are distributed, the CHP receives around 34.6 percent of the vote, while the AKP receives around 29.4 percent. Therefore, the CHP continues to maintain its position of being more than 5 points ahead of the AKP. Contrary to the statements of AKP officials, this picture clearly demonstrates that even during the Israel-Iran crisis, the public's favor is directed not toward the AKP, but toward the CHP."
