Clear response from Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu regarding candidacy claims! 'If 800 signatures were needed...'
Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu gave a clear answer to the question of whether he would attend his party's extraordinary congress to be held on April 6. Stating, "Everyone is making me a candidate, but I am not a candidate," Kılıçdaroğlu noted that he would attend the congress if he received an invitation.
Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, whose potential candidacy at the CHP's extraordinary congress to be held on Sunday, April 6, has been a subject of debate, put an end to the speculation by saying, "Everyone is making me a candidate, but I am not a candidate." Kılıçdaroğlu also stated that he would attend the congress if an invitation had been received.
Speaking to Habertürk columnist Muharrem Sarıkaya, Kılıçdaroğlu gave a clear response to the discussions regarding whether he would be a candidate. In response to the question, 'Are you a candidate?' Kılıçdaroğlu replied, 'No, sir. I am not a candidate.'
To Sarıkaya's question, "It is alleged that you asked those collecting signatures for your candidacy how many they had gathered, and that upon learning it remained around 400, you said you would consider candidacy if they reached 600," Kılıçdaroğlu responded by saying, "They understated it. If I had wanted it, why would it be so low? It should have been at least 750-800... They said too little, it should have exceeded 800..."
Emphasizing that people were commenting about him without ever calling to ask him directly, Kılıçdaroğlu used the expression, "Everyone is making me a candidate, but I am not a candidate."
WILL HE ATTEND THE CONGRESS?
Kılıçdaroğlu also answered the question 'will you go to the congress?' as follows:
"If an invitation has arrived, I will go. Since I am not at the office, I have no information about whether an invitation has arrived or not. I will return in a day or two; if an invitation has arrived, I will go."
