DEM Party delegation's diplomatic traffic continues: Will Erdoğan attend the meeting with the AKP?

Following the meeting held in İmralı with PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, the DEM Party's political contacts are continuing without slowing down.

Within the scope of these meetings, which signal a new process, the DEM Party delegation will visit the AKP parliamentary group tomorrow.

WILL ERDOĞAN ATTEND THE MEETING?

The DEM Party delegation will meet with AKP Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik, Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, and other party officials.

However, it has been learned that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will not be present at this meeting.

Following the DEM Party delegation's recent meetings with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, the contacts to be held with the AKP are considered a critical stage in the progress of the process.

INTENSE VISITATION TRAFFIC

The DEM Party will continue to increase its political contacts this week. The delegation will hold meetings with Future Party (Gelecek Partisi) Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu and Felicity Party (Saadet Partisi) Chairman Mahmut Arıkan.

Additionally, meetings are planned for Tuesday with DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan and New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi) Chairman Fatih Erbakan.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?

DEM Party Van MP Pervin Buldan and Istanbul MP Sırrı Süreyya Önder met with PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı yesterday.

Pervin Buldan and Sırrı Süreyya Önder had issued a written statement regarding the meeting held with Abdullah Öcalan.

Abdullah Öcalan's statements were included in the written statement by Buldan and Önder.

In his statement, Abdullah Öcalan said, "I possess the competence and determination to make the necessary positive contribution to the new paradigm supported by Mr. Bahçeli and Mr. Erdoğan."

Öcalan had stated, "The delegation will share this approach of mine with both the state and political circles. In light of these, I am ready to take the necessary positive step and make the call."

The DEM Party delegation, consisting of Pervin Buldan, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, and Ahmet Türk, had begun contacting political parties after the new year.

The DEM Party delegation, which met with Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş on January 2, later visited MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli.
