Devlet Bahçeli returns to Parliament after 99 days: Today is his first day back

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli is returning to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey after a long break. Bahçeli, who last attended his party's group meeting on Tuesday, January 28, is starting his parliamentary work today after exactly 99 days.

HE HAD ONLY LEFT HIS HOME TWICE

During this period, various claims regarding his health status were brought to the agenda, and the MHP leader appeared in public only twice. The first of these was his visit to the memorial tomb of Alparslan Türkeş, the founding chairman of the MHP, and the other was a short-term visit he made to the MHP Headquarters.

Apart from these two programs, it was known that Devlet Bahçeli spent all his time at home.

HE WILL MEET WITH HIS PARTY MEMBERS IN PARLIAMENT

In statements made regarding his health, it was stated that Bahçeli's general health condition was improving. According to the information obtained, it was stated that with the approval of his doctors, Bahçeli would now participate in parliamentary work from time to time. It was learned that as of today, Bahçeli will meet and chat with his party members in his office in Parliament.

ERDOĞAN VISITED HIM AT HIS HOME YESTERDAY

Bahçeli's return to Parliament took place immediately after the surprise visit made by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan yesterday.

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who was hospitalized on February 4, the day of his party's group meeting, and underwent heart valve surgery on February 6, was seen for the first time in months during his visit to the memorial tomb on the 28th anniversary of Alparslan Türkeş's passing.

On April 4, after the cemetery visit, Bahçeli attended the opening of the new service building of the Turkey Alparslan Türkeş Politics Academy Foundation. A photo of Bahçeli taken in his office chair at the MHP Headquarters on April 4 was also shared.
