Erdoğan's 'why can't I win' outburst to party members: 'His nerves are extremely frayed'

Journalist Hilal Köylü stated that election preparations have accelerated in AKP corridors and that the polls conducted have disturbed President Erdoğan. Köylü noted that in recent polls, the AKP is either in second place or trailing behind the CHP and undecided voters.

AKP REMAINS IN SECOND PLACE IN POLLS

Hilal Köylü reported that, according to information she heard in AKP corridors, the polls conducted have caused serious discomfort within the ruling camp.

Köylü said, "In every poll, either the CHP comes out first or the undecideds are in the lead, while the AKP and Erdoğan remain in second place." She stated that this situation has created great anxiety within the party.

Köylü said that Erdoğan has given instructions that visibility in the field must be increased for an election victory. According to information she obtained from AKP corridors, she stated that ministers participating in various events in the field are strengthening their ties with the party.

She noted that Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya distributed iftar meals wearing an AKP vest, and that Akın Gürlek was welcomed with large events in Nevşehir.

ECONOMY INSTRUCTION TO ŞİMŞEK

Köylü announced that President Erdoğan has also given a new instruction regarding the economy. She reported that Erdoğan said, "We expect a recovery from Mehmet Şimşek; we are in the final period, there is no time, do whatever you need to do." It is stated that if the economy does not improve, the elections could be postponed until 2028.

Stating that scenarios regarding the possibility of postponing the elections until April 2028 are being discussed in AKP corridors, Köylü said that some changes regarding the party management are also on the agenda.

Köylü suggested that while Erdoğan may continue his presidency, he might be planning to hand over the party chairmanship to Bilal Erdoğan or another individual.
