Claim from Fatih Altaylı regarding Öcalan: He reportedly showered the PKK and DEM Party with insults!

Journalist Fatih Altaylı, who is being held at Silivri Prison, shared details on social media regarding his meeting with DEM Party Kocaeli MP Ömer Faruk Gergerlioğlu, who visited him. 

While discussing the consistent and inconsistent aspects of the debates surrounding the government's "Terror-Free Turkey" initiative, Altaylı drew attention to the fact that both the DEM Party and PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan have been ignoring Selahattin Demirtaş.

"DEMİRTAŞ'S NAME IS NOT MENTIONED BY EITHER ÖCALAN OR THE DEM DELEGATION"

Altaylı stated that the point they found most surprising during his meeting with Gergerlioğlu was that neither Abdullah Öcalan nor the DEM Party delegation mentioned the name of former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş. Altaylı noted the following:

"The point where we were both most astonished was that neither Öcalannor the DEM delegation mentioned Selahattin Demirtaş's name. DEM is acting as if they have practically forgotten Demirtaş. Wesuspected that Öcalan did not like Demirtaş and was even jealous of him, but it is very strange that they are expressing this soopenly."

Fatih Altaylı evaluated this situation as being more than just a political preference, stating, "I suspect that the youth in the political Kurdish movementare reactive to this."Altaylı indicated that the youth in the region are feeling uneasy because Demirtaş's name is not being mentioned.At the end of his meeting, Altaylı alleged that Öcalan has been hurling heavy insults at the PKK and the DEM Party, and that these criticisms have led both the party and the organization to believe in the insincerity of the ruling party.
