Fatih Altaylı reveals the behind-the-scenes of the trustee decision: The court had contacted Gürsel Tekin days in advance!

The Istanbul 45th Civil Court of First Instance had appointed Gürsel Tekin as a trustee to the CHP İstanbul Provincial Presidency. While this decision sparked controversy within the party, new allegations regarding Tekin's appointment have also been brought to the agenda.

Tekin had argued that he was unaware of the court decision before the appointment and stated that he learned about the development from television screens.

However, it was noted that he paid his CHP membership dues just one day before the decision was announced.

“I DON'T NEED TO ENTER THE BUILDING TO WORK”

Making his first statement regarding his trustee duty yesterday, Tekin announced that he accepted the court decision and had begun his work. Stating, "I don't need to enter the party building to work," Tekin announced that he would continue his duty despite the criticisms.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced to the public that Tekin had been expelled from the party.

Journalist Fatih Altaylı, who is currently imprisoned in Silivri Prison, put forward a striking claim regarding the behind-the-scenes of the developments. Stating that Gürsel Tekin was aware that he would be appointed as a trustee days in advance, Altaylı used the following expressions.

“The court contacted Gürsel Tekin last week. Tekin prepared the trustee list. Mr. Gürsel has known about this decision and that he would be appointed as a trustee for 5 days, and he has been waiting.”
