He clarified those remarks from Bahçeli's group meeting: What did he mean?

MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli's statements at the parliamentary group meeting were once again widely discussed. Regarding the current process in the fight against terrorism, Bahçeli stated, "There is no turning back from this; otherwise, the price of the consequences will be beyond dire."

BLOODY CONFLICTS ARE LOOMING IN THE REGION

International Relations and Strategy Expert Dr. Erol Mütercimler shared his assessments regarding Bahçeli's remarks on the program "Karşı Karşıya" (Face to Face), hosted by İpek Özbey on Sözcü TV.

In his statement, Mütercimler argued that Turkey is approaching a significant breaking point in the current geopolitical balance in the Middle East. Stating that the US is very close to achieving its goals in the region, Mütercimler said:

"The US is implementing its new Middle East plans step by step. As of now, they only have one or two stops left to reach their goals. In this process, the probability of Turkey and Israel coming face to face directly in Syria is extremely high."

According to Mütercimler, the continued existence of the PKK as an apparatus in the region is unacceptable for Turkey. Stating that Turkey could mobilize all its military capacity to eliminate this threat, Mütercimler made the following assessment:

"If the PKK continues to exist as an apparatus, Turkey will deploy all its military capabilities there, and a bloody outcome will emerge. For Turkey, there is currently a picture that emerges with the least damage, but if this process is not managed healthily, a very dangerous period will be entered."
