Huge backlash against Kılıçdaroğlu's interview! 'A tool of the Palace...'

Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu giving an exclusive statement to TGRT Haber has ignited a new debate. TGRT had long been boycotted by the CHP on the grounds that its broadcasts targeting the opposition and its reporting on certain lawsuits before they were even filed cast a shadow over the channel's impartiality.

Kılıçdaroğlu speaking to this channel has reignited the controversy.

SHARP REACTIONS FROM CHP LAWMAKERS

CHP İstanbul MP Mahmut Tanal, in a statement on his social media account, indirectly criticized Kılıçdaroğlu, stating:

“This party was not founded in courtrooms, but on battlefields. Let everyone trying to collapse the CHP from within know this: ignoring the will of the people does not make you a party member, it makes you a tool of the palace.”

Another reaction came from CHP Ankara MP Murat Emir. Emir responded to those dreaming of returning to the period before the November 4, 2023, party congress with these words:

“We will not surrender this ancestral home, which is marching to establish the power of the people, to those who rely on the palace judiciary and set traps for the CHP through claims of ‘absolute nullity’.”

Journalist Mehmet M. Yılmaz also opposed Kılıçdaroğlu's stance with harsh words. Yılmaz said, “Kılıçdaroğlu is excitedly waiting for a trustee decision from the AKP judiciary. He is waiting so that he can return to the head of the CHP and steer the party to a ‘safe harbor’!”

Kılıçdaroğlu's statements and attitude were also criticized by social media users and various figures with ironic comments. Here are those comments:

Legal expert Gönenç Gürkaynak, in an ironic message directed at Kılıçdaroğlu, stated, “It turns out AKP voters loved Kılıçdaroğlu so much; they hadn't shown it at all for 13 years.”
