Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu denies Mansur Yavaş claims: Did he place a reservation on his candidacy?

Fatih Atik, the Ankara Representative for TGRT Haber, a media outlet close to the government, claimed that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu believes a new presidential candidate should be determined within the CHP.

Atik alleged that Kılıçdaroğlu does not accept the candidacy of either Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu or Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Mansur Yavaş, and that he has stated a "new candidate" must emerge.

Atik further added, "I think he is sending a message to İmamoğlu here. He is placing a reservation on the candidacy of both names. What I understand from this is that there is information that the relationship between Kılıçdaroğlu and Yavaş has soured."

Former CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, however, categorically rejected these claims. Speaking to Eray Görgülü from Ekol TV, Kılıçdaroğlu used the following expressions:

"I have no such statement. It is completely false; I do not know why whoever is saying this is saying it. There is no presidential election on the horizon. Why would I make such a speech, why would I place such a reservation regarding Mr. Mansur? Someone is lying, and everyone is giving it credence. I have not spoken with anyone, and I have not given a statement to anyone."
