Latest poll shakes Turkey: Remarkable move from DEM Party

Area Araştırma has shared the results of its latest election poll conducted across Turkey between August 22-24, 2025. In the survey, which was carried out with 2,000 participants in 81 provinces using the CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) method, citizens were asked, "If there were a parliamentary election today, which party would you vote for?"

CHP IN FIRST PLACE, AK PARTY CLOSE BEHIND

According to the results, the CHP became the leading party with 30.9%, while the AK Party followed in second place with 30.0%. The razor-thin margin between the two parties showed that competition in politics has reached its peak.

In the poll, the DEM Party ranked third with 10.0%, while the MHP received 8.5% and the İYİ Party received 7.0% of the vote. The DEM Party's double-digit figure, in particular, was evaluated as a development that could affect the balance of power in politics.

According to the poll, the parties' vote shares were ranked as follows:

CHP (Republican People's Party): 30.9%

AK Party (Justice and Development Party): 30.0%

DEM Party (Democracy and Equality Party): 10.0%

MHP (Nationalist Movement Party): 8.5%

İYİ Party: 7.0%

Zafer Party: 4.8%

A Party: 3.1%

YRP (New Welfare Party): 2.0%

TİP (Workers' Party of Turkey): 1.7%

TKP (Communist Party of Turkey): 0.9%

Other Parties: 1.3%
