MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli to speak for the first time in 3 months: His schedule has been announced
MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, who has remained out of the public eye following heart valve surgery, will take the podium for the first time after a 3-month hiatus.
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Chairman Devlet Bahçeli will break his three-month silence tomorrow.
Bahçeli, who was hospitalized after falling ill on the day of the parliamentary group meeting on February 4 and underwent heart valve surgery on February 6, will appear before the public and deliver a speech for the first time after a long break.
HE WILL SPEAK TOMORROW
Bahçeli remained away from the cameras for a long time following his heart surgery. He first attended a memorial ceremony on April 4 for the 28th anniversary of the passing of MHP founding leader Alparslan Türkeş, visiting the memorial tomb, and subsequently began his work at the MHP Headquarters.
However, Bahçeli has not attended group meetings or made any speeches since that date, and his voice has not been heard by the public.
MHP leader Bahçeli will attend the “Idealist Martyrs Commemoration Day” event to be held tomorrow (Tuesday, May 27).
Bahçeli, who is also expected to deliver a speech at the event, will thus break his silence of approximately three months. According to journalist Hilal Köylü, Bahçeli will not only be seen at the event but will also address the public by speaking.
