Moving words from Ferdi Zeyrek! 'I don't want to leave an unfinished story'

Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ferdi Zeyrek was critically injured after being electrocuted while checking his home pool motor; his heart was restarted after 70 minutes of intervention. However, Zeyrek lost his 66-hour battle for life at the hospital where he was being treated and passed away.

Some of the statements Mayor Zeyrek made in his final interview with journalist İpek Özbey before his passing have moved his loved ones.

Zeyrek had revealed his connection to life by saying, "If I were to be born again, I would still want to be myself. I don't want to leave an unfinished story."

"I WOULD LIKE TO LIVE UNTIL THE AGE OF 80"

In his interview, Ferdi Zeyrek had expressed his wish to live a healthy life until the age of 80:

"I would like to see 80. What comes after depends on our health. But I would never want to be bedridden or a burden to others."
