Muharrem İnce returns to his political home! A meaningful letter from İmamoğlu: 'You gave us strength'

Muharrem İnce, who left the Republican People's Party (CHP) in 2021 and subsequently founded the Homeland Party, is expected to return to the CHP today.

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel will pin the party badge on İnce.

Before joining the CHP, İnce chaired a meeting of the Homeland Party Assembly yesterday. During the meeting, the decision to dissolve the Homeland Party was taken.

According to information obtained, the Homeland Party will dissolve itself at an extraordinary congress to be held in July.

Imprisoned Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu wrote a letter to Muharrem İnce, who decided to return to the CHP. In his letter, İmamoğlu stated the following:

"Welcome back.

Dear Chairman Muharrem İnce,

You did not leave me, my family, or my friends alone at any moment during the great political operations, injustices, and the applications of enemy law carried out with ruthless sieges, and you gave us strength. I find your decision to return to your 'political home,' the CHP, at one of the most critical junctures in our history, upon the strong invitation of my Chairman, Mr. Özgür Özel, to be very valuable and important.

STRENGTHENING THE INTERNAL FRONT must be done without 'ifs' or 'buts,' without bargaining, and without division. You have demonstrated this with your personality, which is passionate about the country, the nation, and the institutional values we respect. I would like to state that it is exciting for our struggle for a prosperous Turkey, united and together, that you have taken this step without expecting any office or position.

It is essential that our very difficult national and international struggle for our Turkey be carried out with strength, determination, and perseverance.

In this historic period:

1. The CHP's Strengthening of the Internal Front must be without 'ifs' or 'buts.'

2. The opposition's Strengthening of the Internal Front must be about reacting together and standing against everything that is contrary to national interests, principles, democracy, and the law.

3. For the sake of our nation and our State, the Strengthening of the Internal Front must be about being one and together for our future and our independence, without exclusion, without creating enemies, and without considering individual or political interests.
