New detail in the attack on Özgür Özel! Complaint filed with the Governor's Office

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who arrived at the Taksim Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM) for the funeral ceremony of Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sırrı Süreyya Önder, was denied entry to the indoor parking lot with his official vehicle as he entered the building.

Consequently, Özel had to walk out of the AKM at the end of the ceremony to reach his vehicle, during which time he was subjected to a physical attack by Selçuk Tengioğlu, who was waiting outside the building.

DEPUTY PROVINCIAL POLICE CHIEF REPORTED

Following allegations that the instruction not to allow the official vehicle into the parking lot was given by Deputy Provincial Police Chief Murat Özbek, it has been learned that the CHP İstanbul Provincial Organization has filed a complaint with the Istanbul Governor's Office regarding the incident and Murat Özbek.
