New details emerge from the triple summit in CHP: Yavaş's grievance left its mark on the meeting
It is alleged that Mansur Yavaş, who announced he would not participate in the primary election to be held by the CHP to determine its presidential candidate, expressed his discomfort over not being informed about the party management's statements. It was stated that Yavaş voiced his dissatisfaction regarding the matter during the triple summit.
As the CHP conducts its primary election process to determine its presidential candidate, there was curiosity regarding the path Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş would follow during this process. Yavaş announced that he would not participate in the primary election to be held within the party.
It was stated that Mansur Yavaş conveyed this decision during a meeting he held with CHP Chairman Özgür Özel and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu.
However, it was claimed that Yavaş felt uncomfortable because he was not informed in advance about the statements made regarding the candidacy process and that he expressed this during the meeting.
''I LEARN FROM THE PRESS, I AM LEFT IN THE LURCH''
According to the report by journalist Saygı Öztürk, Mansur Yavaş stated that he learned about the CHP management's statements regarding the presidential candidacy process from the press and that this situation put him in a difficult position.
It was alleged that Yavaş said, "I request that I also be informed in advance when a statement is to be made. Statements are being made without my knowledge, and I learn about them from the press. I am left in the lurch, and this is not pleasant."
It was also stated that Yavaş emphasized that the process should be conducted more carefully to avoid misunderstandings in the public eye and used the expressions, "Because of the statements, a perception is being created as if I am against the party management. A sensitive process must be conducted for the sake of the voters."
