A new formula from the ruling party facing declining votes: 'Elder Presidency' is coming

While the AKP has fallen behind the CHP in recent polls, the decline in votes within the party is attributed to economic management and internal party debates.

Criticisms regarding the economy have recently begun to be voiced frequently, especially in newspapers such as Yeni Şafak. In light of these developments, the AKP administration has begun searching for solutions to ensure harmony within the party.

"ELDER PRESIDENCY" MODEL

In AKP lobbies, a proposal for a new management model to resolve internal party disputes has come to the agenda. Information was conveyed that a new presidential unit called the "Elder Presidency" would be established.

It is stated that this presidential model will be created to resolve disagreements between party organizations, the Headquarters, and the TBMM Group.

Another proposal on the agenda of the AKP MKYK is the "Presidency of the Intra-Party Democracy Arbitration Board," which is considered to be established under the chairmanship of Istanbul Deputy Suat Pamukçu, who joined the AKP from the New Welfare Party (Yeniden Refah Partisi). It is stated that this board will also be created to resolve internal party disputes and make democracy more effective.

The AKP administration plans to implement this new management model to overcome existing structural problems and restore harmony within the party.
