New statement from Selahattin Demirtaş: Who is the message for?

Former HDP Co-Chair Selahattin Demirtaş, who is imprisoned in Edirne Prison, has raised his criticisms regarding the "Terror-Free Turkey" process. Demirtaş had previously shared his views on the process through statements made during his time in prison.

In his new statement, he emphasized that the "law and sentiment of brotherhood" have not been repaired and that not a single step has been taken. He also stated that this division is being deepened by operations targeting the CHP.

Following the agenda created by his criticisms, Demirtaş issued a new statement to convey his messages to the public. In the statement, he said, "Hello, I hope you are all well. We are also doing quite well, in high spirits, and strong."

Demirtaş expressed that the concerns, criticisms, and expectations conveyed to him by his lawyers are very valuable, and he thanked those who provided this support.

Demirtaş used the following expressions:

-You know, sometimes snow blocks the roads and hundreds of vehicles get stuck, lining up one after another. They wait in a convoy. In the snow, blizzard, and storm, you either wait for days or months for the weather to warm up and the roads to open, or a snowplow comes, clears the road, and you move forward. A snowplow enters roads your vehicle cannot enter, takes risks, leads the way, clears the path, and pulls aside, and you continue.

You are the travelers of peace, freedom, democracy, and brotherhood, and you must always focus on the road; you must advance as far as you can on the path that has been cleared. If you spend your time, effort, and energy tinkering with the snowplow, you will be delayed, and the snow will block the roads completely.

You should constantly look forward and advance rapidly toward the goal. And do not worry, this is the duty of the snowplow; it does not get harmed for doing its job. Also, do not panic; a snowplow cannot be an official vehicle, nor can it be used as a limousine.
