Özgür Özel reveals the government's Plan B: He gives a date for early elections

CHP Chairman Özgür Özel made notable remarks regarding the debates on early elections.

Özel stated that he is demanding early elections but does not expect them to take place in the near future.

Arguing that President Erdoğan would lose an election held under current conditions, Özel claimed that the government is therefore planning to postpone the election date to the autumn of 2027.

ERDOĞAN IS EXPECTED TO LOSE THE ELECTION

Özel stated that if an election were held in the current situation, Erdoğan would not be in a position to win.

Despite this, he noted that Erdoğan has not attempted to call a snap election and that the election will be postponed until the autumn of 2027.

Özel said, "He would not be able to win if he went to a snap election. For this reason, they will prefer to wait until 2027."

HE REVEALED ERDOĞAN'S PLAN B

Özgür Özel also evaluated that Erdoğan might choose not to be a candidate in a potential election and "might prefer to lose with another candidate." He suggested that Erdoğan might consider entering the elections with a different candidate instead of losing himself.
