PİAR Research results... Erdoğan said 'We are the leading party,' but polls showed otherwise

During the opening process that the ruling front calls a 'Terror-Free Turkey,' a group of PKK terrorists symbolically laid down their arms. Following this development, Erdoğan spoke at his party's Kızılcahamam camp and mentioned an "AKP-MHP and DEM Party" alliance. Following these developments, the vote shares of the parties are also being closely watched.

The survey conducted by PİAR Research Company in July has reshaped the political agenda. In the survey, which was conducted between July 7-9 with 3,160 people in 26 provinces, voters were asked, "If there were a general election this Sunday, which party would you consider voting for?"

While 32.5 percent of the participants stated that they would vote for the Republican People's Party (CHP), the AKP's vote share remained at 30.2 percent.

The poll results came shortly after President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's statement that "the leading party is the AK Party." However, the data released by PİAR showed that the CHP has moved ahead in voter support. The same picture was noted in the second poll of July: the CHP maintains its lead, while the AKP remains in second place.

According to the July results, the gap between the two major parties is 2.3 points. This gap is interpreted as a signal of "political superiority" for the CHP, which has gained momentum in recent months. It was noted that the AKP has regressed to the 30-point band.

MHP: 8.6%

DEM Party: 7.7%
