Poll results released after Yozgat rally! AKP votes are in decline

The Republican People's Party (CHP) conducted a survey across Yozgat on April 25-26. The study also revealed how the rally held on April 19, which made a significant impact, was reflected in political preferences.

According to Ceren Bayar from T24; based on the results of the survey conducted one week after the rally, the People's Alliance's vote, which was 66.9 percent in 2023, fell to 51.8 percent (when undecided voters were distributed).

CHP IS 6.6 POINTS BEHIND AKP

When looking at the responses to the question, "If an election were held this Sunday, which party would you vote for?", it was observed that the CHP is 6.6 percentage points behind the AKP.

According to the study, the AKP's vote, which was 43.5 percent in 2023, fell to 36.1 percent, and the MHP's vote, which was 23.4 percent, fell to 15.7 percent.

İYİ PARTY LOST ALLIANCE VOTES

In 2023, the CHP did not field a candidate in Yozgat due to its alliance with the İYİ Party. It was observed that the vote of the İYİ Party, which received 23.4 percent in 2023, fell to 3.6 percent.

CHP'S VOTE IS 29.5 PERCENT

Since it did not field a candidate, the CHP's 2023 vote share was not recorded, but the rate of those saying "I would vote for the CHP if an election were held this Sunday" was 29.5 percent.

PARTIES EXPERIENCING THE MOST VOTE LOSS

When compared to the 2023 General Elections, it was observed that the highest vote losses were in the İYİ Party with -19.8 points, the MHP with -7.7 points, and the AKP with -7.4 points.

ERDOĞAN CANNOT EXCEED 50 PERCENT IN THE FIRST ROUND

It was observed that nearly 20 percent of Yozgat voters were "undecided" if a Presidential election were held this Sunday. The rate of undecided voters regarding the first round of the Presidential election was measured at 19.2 percent.

When undecided voters were distributed, it was observed that AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received 49.4 percent, while Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor and CHP Presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu received 38.7 percent, and Erdoğan could not exceed 50 percent in the first round.

THE GAP IS CLOSING

In the second round of the Presidential election, Erdoğan receives 57.7 percent of the vote, while İmamoğlu receives 42.3 percent.

When the second-round scenario is compared with the second round of the 2023 Presidential Election, it is seen that İmamoğlu receives 18.7 percentage points more votes than the 7th Chairman of the CHP, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

The gap with Erdoğan, which was 52.8 points on May 28, 2023, falls to 15.4 percent if an election were held this Sunday and İmamoğlu were the candidate. Erdoğan's vote drops by 18.7 percentage points, and İmamoğlu's vote increases by 18.7 percentage points.

THEY ARE NOT CONVINCED BY TERROR AND CORRUPTION ACCUSATIONS

Yozgat residents were also asked about their views on the operation against İmamoğlu and his potential imprisonment.

Accordingly, 42 percent of Yozgat residents found the imprisonment of İmamoğlu to be correct, while 58 percent said they did not find it correct. While the rate of those who think the corruption accusations against İmamoğlu are true was measured at 36 percent, 64 percent stated that they do not think the accusations are true.

26 percent of Yozgat residents said they believe the terror accusations against İmamoğlu, while 74 percent said they do not think the terror accusations are true.

DEMAND FOR EARLY ELECTION!

When asked about their opinions on an early election, 53 percent of Yozgat residents responded that an early election should be held. The rate of those saying "Erdoğan would win if there were an early election" was measured at 54 percent, while the rate of those saying "he cannot win" was 46 percent.

It was also observed that the rate of those saying "Turkey would be positively affected if the opposition wins" was 47 percent.
