CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır shared a photo from the hearing of the case in which CHP's presidential candidate and IMM Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu—who was arrested as part of an operation against the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality—is being tried over his remarks regarding Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor Akın Gürlek.

The photo taken of İmamoğlu was shared by various CHP figures.

CHP's Başarır wrote, "Let this be noted in history: This photo is a sign of your shame and your guilt; it is the photo of an attempt to put the national will on trial!"

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir shared İmamoğlu's photo and stated, "We will not stop until all our youth and Ekrem İmamoğlu, whom they want to see as their presidential candidate, are released, and until those behind this political coup carried out against the national will through the judiciary withdraw their hands."

CHP Deputy Chairman Gökçe Gökçen shared İmamoğlu's photo and used the expression, "We will never forget this injustice."

CHP İstanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik also said, "Release our presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu immediately! That ballot box will come, and Ekrem İmamoğlu will be president. Our nation will win, Turkey will win."
