Praise for Öcalan continues in pro-government media: New behind-the-scenes details before the second meeting... Allegations of a rift between DEM and Öcalan

In the second peace process, which returned to the agenda following the call by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, a DEM delegation is expected to visit Imralı for a second time.

As is known, Devlet Bahçeli, referring to PKK leader Öcalan during his group meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), had stated, "Let him come to the TBMM podium at the DEM Party group meeting. Let him declare that the PKK has been dissolved. In return, let him benefit from the right to hope."

Following this call by Bahçeli, a statement of support for the new process also came from the DEM Party, the addressee of the issue.

Following these developments, a DEM delegation consisting of Ahmet Türk, Sırrı Süreyya Önder, and Pervin Buldan held a meeting with PKK terrorist organization leader Öcalan. After the meeting, the DEM Party shared a letter from Öcalan. Following the meeting with Imralı, the DEM delegation also held meetings with other political parties.

Messages of support came from the AKP, another partner in the process. President and AKP Chairman Erdoğan had said regarding Bahçeli's call, "We find this courageous move by Bahçeli to be correct."

In addition to politicians, media outlets close to the government have also begun to show support for the 'new peace' process. It has reached a point where they have even started to defend PKK leader Öcalan.

Pro-government Sabah newspaper columnist Mahmut Övür noted in his latest article that Öcalan gave the message to the DEM Party leadership: "Turn your face not to Qandil, but to the public; expand the space for democratic politics and explain it to the public..."

Övür, in the continuation of his article, said that PKK leader Öcalan knows what awaits them much better than the actors who manage the organization he founded.

Öcalan knows what awaits them this time much better than the actors who manage the organization he founded. It is rumored that in his last meeting, he sent the following instruction to the DEM Party leadership:

"Turn your face not to Qandil, but to the public; expand the space for democratic politics and explain it to the public..."

What will they explain? Of course, at the very least, the necessity of ending terrorism and silencing the weapons...

What is happening?

None of them, including DEM Party co-chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, mention such a thing in the meetings they attend or the panels they participate in; on the contrary, they speak in high tones about "bargaining" that will take place.

In a sense, these political actors are trying not to convey the messages that Öcalan has given and will give to the public, even though they know them.

However, even Abdi Şahin, who is at the head of the YPG in Syria, has understood the message to be given, as he explains to two Italian journalists that the statement we previously announced will be made on February 15 and will be related to Syria:

"We believe that there will be something in the declaration regarding northeastern Syria. Abdullah Öcalan has many ties to this region."

There is very little time left until February 15. Many countries, such as Israel and France, will not be pleased with the declaration to end terrorism; they will even protest. Those who want to ignite the streets internally are in the same mood. However, what is strange is that you both demand constitutional equal citizenship and do not strive for the removal of the biggest obstacle to the realization of that demand. Unfortunately, the DEM Party does not see this reality.

I present to the attention of DEM Party members the following warning voiced by writer Adnan Boynukara, who closely follows the disarmament processes of terrorist organizations in many parts of the world from Ireland to Colombia, on the Perspektif website:

"There is no longer any ground for the PKK and its affiliated organizations to continue their existence as they are. Insisting on violence and terror goes no further than being a useful tool for global powers, intelligence agencies, and military-industrial circles. Insisting on this is hostility toward the Kurds and all the peoples of the Middle East."
