Shocking allegation regarding Özlem Çerçioğlu: Did she grant salaries to her relatives?

Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu, who resigned from the CHP to join the AKP, has been drawing attention recently, and a new allegation has now surfaced regarding her.

According to a report on the Aydın24 news website, it is claimed that Çerçioğlu provided additional salaries to some of her relatives within the municipality and its affiliated companies.

The report includes allegations that the brother of the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Secretary General serves both as the Head of the Machinery Supply Department and as a board member of Ege Et A.Ş.

Furthermore, it is stated that the same person's new spouse holds a staff position at the municipality, and his ex-wife works in the Social Services Unit.

It was also alleged that Çerçioğlu's chief of staff receives a second salary from Ay Jeotermal AŞ. The report points out that this person's spouse works at ASKİ as a "shadow general manager."

Additionally, claims were included that some members of the chief of staff's family also hold staff positions in district municipalities.

According to the information provided in the report, it is alleged that in the municipality and its affiliated companies under the administration of Özlem Çerçioğlu, certain individuals were assigned various roles, resulting in salary increases for these persons.
