Gezici Research Company has shared the results of its June 2025 poll titled "Voter Trends and Political Atmosphere Analysis" with the public. According to the poll, the Justice and Development Party (AKP), which had fallen to second place for a long time, returned to the top with 35 percent of the vote. The Republican People's Party (CHP) took second place with 31.1 percent.

PREFERENCE OF YOUNG VOTERS

One of the most striking results of the poll was the data regarding young voter behavior. 68 percent of participants in the 18-28 age range stated that they were leaning toward right-wing parties. According to experts, this trend is driven by the sensitivity of young people to rhetoric themed around security, national technology, and economic stability. It was assessed that the rising global trend of nationalist and conservative political leanings is also affecting young voters in Turkey.

RECOVERY PROCESS IN THE AKP

Housewives and undecided voter groups had a significant impact on the AKP's resurgence. In particular, social aid and family support programs found a positive response among these segments. Despite fluctuations in the economy, it was analyzed that the emphasis on "stability" and "leadership" influenced voter preference in favor of the AKP.

While the CHP maintains its position as a strong second party with a vote share still above 30 percent, it was stated that a lack of trust and a leadership crisis persist among the voters who participated in the poll.

The responses to the question posed to poll participants, "Should President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan continue to play an active role in politics?" were also noteworthy. 54.7 percent of participants stated that they support Erdoğan remaining in politics.
