A group belonging to the organization is expected to lay down its arms in a symbolic ceremony in the city of Sulaymaniyah, which is under the administration of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Iraq. It had been noted that the process began simultaneously with the indirect messages between MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli and the imprisoned PKK ringleader Abdullah Öcalan. Now, a period is beginning where these calls are starting to materialize.

Although a live broadcast was initially planned for the disarmament ceremony, this idea was abandoned due to security concerns. The ceremony was moved to a different location, and it was reported that no cameras or photographic equipment would be allowed at the event.

This symbolic step by the PKK will be announced to the public in a controlled manner without footage. The list of participants and the details of the ceremony are being kept secret.

It has been learned that the DEM Party invited certain journalists and writers to this critical ceremony. However, it was noted that participation would be limited to selected individuals and that information would only be provided through those who have passed security screenings.

It is stated that the process will not be limited to a symbolic dimension and that more comprehensive disarmament organizations will be held in the coming months. Turkey, the central Iraqi government, and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will act in coordination during this process.

Disarmament zones will be determined through the coordination of these three centers. Security, intelligence, and diplomatic preparations will be made before each ceremony.

The security of the ceremony will be provided by Turkey's National Intelligence Organization (MİT) and intelligence units affiliated with the KRG. Local authorities will also play an active role in the technical and logistical infrastructure of the organization.

According to regional sources, a "phased disarmament" model will be implemented in the future, and each phase will proceed under certain security guarantees.

THE PROCESS WILL BE SPREAD OVER SEVERAL MONTHS

Following the symbolic dimension of the disarmament initiative, more comprehensive steps are expected to be taken. It is stated that the completion of the process will take several months and that new ceremonies will be organized for different groups in various regions.

The delegation, which included the Co-Chairs of the DEM Party, proceeded to the area prepared in the countryside of Sulaymaniyah for the ceremony with a convoy of approximately 30 vehicles.

The delegation, which included Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Co-Chairs Çiğdem Kılıçgün Uçar and Keskin Bayındır, Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK) Co-Spokespersons Meral Danış Beştaş and Ali Kenanoğlu, Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Co-Chairs Tülay Hatimoğulları and Tuncer Bakırhan, Ahmet Türk, and DEM Party Imralı Delegation member Mithat Sancar, went to the area.

While statements from political circles followed the terrorist organization PKK's "disarmament ceremony," MHP Leader Devlet Bahçeli also broke his silence. In a written statement, Bahçeli expressed that he welcomed the process.

"Effective as of today, the separatist terrorist organization has begun to surrender its weapons in groups, and at the same time, historic developments have begun to take place regarding the closing of a dark period.

Political and ideological circles that have entered a race of exploitation, slander, and denial in order to keep the atmosphere of provocation alive have been disappointed in the face of the blossoming hopes and the expanding climate of peace and tranquility.

Indeed, days of extraordinary importance are being experienced for both our Turkey and our region.

These positive developments, which bring relief to hearts, are a milestone, and the collective conscience is pleased with this scope.
