As the AKP prepares for its 8th Ordinary Grand Congress to be held at the Ankara Sports Hall on February 23, claims regarding changes in party management and the cabinet are gaining strength in the corridors.

According to a report by Cumhuriyet, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is expected to make a radical change in party management following the congress.

Following the changes made in provincial and district congresses, a renewal of over 50 percent is also anticipated in the AKP Central Executive Board (MYK) and the Central Decision and Administrative Board (MKYK).

SIGNAL OF CHANGE IN THE CABINET

It is claimed that significant changes will also take place in the cabinet after the congress. There is talk in the corridors that at least five ministers will be removed from their posts.
