In a survey conducted by Metropoll's Pulse of Turkey in January 2026, participants were asked the question, 'Do you think a change of government is necessary to improve your living conditions?'

In the survey conducted with 1,219 people between January 15 and 21, 67.1% said they wanted a change of government, while 31.4% said no. The rate of those who did not state an opinion was 1.5%.

AKP AND MHP VOTER PREFERENCES CHANGED IN ONE YEAR

What stood out in the survey was the presence of those within the MHP and AKP who want the government to change. While 33.2% of AKP voters wanted a change of government in 2025, this rate became 39.7% in 2026, an increase of over 6 points.

In the MHP, the figure was 39.3%, and it was notable that it rose to the 41.3% level in 2026.
