Timeline for the dissolution of the separatist terrorist organization PKK becomes clear: Where will weapons be laid down, 50-person list is ready

According to the intelligence information shared by journalist Nuray Babacan, the process for the terrorist organization PKK to lay down its arms and dissolve itself is now being carried out within a specific timeline. Based on information from intelligence sources, Babacan stated, "All necessary calendar-based activities following the dissolution have been determined. It has been formalized into a procedure with the approval of both sides."

In this context, a consensus has been reached on critical steps such as the points where weapons will be laid down, the duration for completing this process, the rural areas to be abandoned, and the complete evacuation of Qandil. Furthermore, the plan for which countries the approximately 50 terrorists located in Qandil will be sent to has also been clarified.

TIMELINE IS SET, THE PROCESS IS SENSITIVE

Babacan said, "The expected dissolution statement from the PKK came with a delay of a few weeks. However, according to intelligence, the process is proceeding exactly as planned." Each detail, such as the areas where weapons will be laid down, the caves and shelters to be rendered unusable, and the withdrawal of militants from the region, has been formalized into a procedure.

It is stated that Ankara, Qandil, and Imrali are all involved in this process, and it is emphasized that the steps are being taken with sensitivity and require time. According to Babacan's article, "Many stages, including legal work, are on the state's agenda."

WHERE WILL THE WEAPONS BE LAID DOWN?

The regions where weapons will be laid down, one of the most critical points of the process, have also gained clarity. According to intelligence sources, a detailed map has been created to end the PKK's presence in rural areas. In line with this map, weapons will be collected at designated locations, and these areas will come under the control of security forces.

Additionally, the goal is to destroy the entire rural infrastructure of the organization, including its shelters, bunkers, and caves.

PLAN FOR 50 PKK MEMBERS TO GO ABROAD

A plan has also been prepared for sending the approximately 50 terrorists located in Qandil abroad. The countries these individuals will go to have been determined through intelligence and diplomatic traffic. However, the clearest stance on this point has been Turkey's refusal to allow these individuals to go to Syria.

NO PERMISSION TO GO TO SYRIA

According to Babacan, one of the issues on which Turkey has taken a clear stance is that the high-level cadre of the PKK should not be sent to regions under YPG control in Syria. Turkey vetoes the relocation of these individuals to Syria, and contacts are being maintained with alternative countries.

Meanwhile, it is also stated that the promises made by both local administrations and the Damascus administration regarding the removal of PKK elements from Syria have not been kept to date. The withdrawal of PKK members from Syria has not yet taken place.

THERE ARE 12 THOUSAND PKK MILITANTS

According to intelligence sources, there are currently a total of approximately 12 thousand PKK militants. It is stated that 3 thousand of these are within Turkey's borders, while the rest are primarily located in northern Iraq and Syria.

It is also reported that the organization's leadership cadre and those involved in crimes are not wanted in either Turkey or Syria, and that the state possesses an extensive list of these individuals.
