Ümit Özdağ sends a message to Mehmet Şimşek and Erdoğan from Silivri: He reminded them of those words by Erdoğan

Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ, who is being held at Silivri Prison, stated that the impact of the application of enemy criminal law on Central Bank reserves was 43 billion dollars. While sending a message to Minister of Finance Mehmet Şimşek, he also said regarding President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, "We will see whether he will set sail for the rule of law or abandon our country to the mercy of the hurricane."

In a post on his X account, Özdağ wrote the following:

"Two years ago, as if a new party had come to power and he had been appointed as Minister of Finance by a new president, Mehmet Şimşek announced that 'rational management would be re-established in the economy and non-scientific approaches would be abandoned,' thereby openly accusing the AK Party economic management that preceded him of being irrational and unscientific."

From the very first day, Mehmet Şimşek has made the poor even poorer with his program to reduce inflation, which places the burden on fixed and low-income earners. While increasing Central Bank foreign exchange reserves by both raising the dollar exchange rate and paying high interest rates, lenders have also obtained a 25% interest return in dollar terms.

Following the new phase of the political operation carried out on March 19, Central Bank reserves melted by 43 billion dollars in 25 days. The bankruptcy risk insurance premium, CDS, rose from 250 to 370.

The impact of the application of enemy criminal law on Central Bank reserves alone is 43 billion dollars. I am not even counting the collapse of the stock market, the loss of global economic image, the decline in production, and capital flight. Is it a coincidence that the Treasury had to resort to 3-month borrowing after 15 years?

While Erdoğan says, 'A hurricane that will affect everyone is coming' during the world's Trump-effect process, will he set sail for the 'RULE OF LAW,' which is the most important issue that will help Turkey emerge from this hurricane, or will he continue to keep these sails closed and abandon our country to the mercy of this hurricane? We shall see."
