Warning to Turkey from Fatih Altaylı: He explained the reason behind the West's praise for Turkey

Journalist Fatih Altaylı stated that Turkey's policy regarding Syria, which has transitioned to HTS rule, has been moderate.

In his column today, Altaylı said that the statements coming from the government wing were "reassuring," and continued as follows:

"However, as I predicted on the day Assad was overthrown and fled, the exact opposite attitude is coming from Western leaders and the media. Turkey is being showered with praise, and it is being said that Turkey is behind what is happening in Syria.

We predicted that this would happen, and whenever the West wants to drag Turkey into a trap or a quagmire, it displays this attitude. Never forget how Iraq was encouraged to attack Kuwait before the 1st Gulf War.

For now, Turkey is not falling into this trap and is maintaining its sensible stance. This is very important for the future of Syria.

So, what kind of Syria is HTS aiming for! The first signs are not encouraging."
