The Istanbul Governor's Office announced that a council meeting will be held in both municipalities on March 26 following the suspension of İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık.

In the statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office, it was recalled that İBB Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu and Beylikdüzü Mayor Murat Çalık were temporarily suspended from their duties by the Ministry of Interior.

The statement included the following: 'In accordance with the provisions of Article 45 of the Municipal Law No. 5393, it has been deemed appropriate by our Governor's Office for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Beylikdüzü Municipal Councils to convene to elect an Acting Mayor, at the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council meeting hall on Wednesday, March 26 at 13:00, and at the Beylikdüzü Municipality Council Meeting Hall on Wednesday, March 26 at 09:00.'

WHO WILL REPLACE İMAMOĞLU?
