YPG crisis on the MHP-DEM Party line following Öcalan's call! 'There is a game within a game'

While discussions regarding the PKK's disarmament continue, the question of whether the call covers the organization's Syrian affiliate, the PYD/YPG, has caused tension between the MHP and the DEM Party.

It has been stated that the contacts between the MHP and the DEM Party, which had approached Öcalan's statements positively, were interrupted by the move from DEM Party Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları.

SHE HAD SAID THE YPG IS NOT MENTIONED IN THE TEXT

In her assessment regarding Öcalan's call, Tülay Hatimoğulları used the expressions, "This call is quite clear and explicit. The YPG is not mentioned anywhere in the text." While this statement led to interpretations that the YPG was being left out of the process, it was met with a reaction from the MHP front.

A HARSH RESPONSE CAME FROM THE MHP

A harsh reaction to Hatimoğulları's words came from the MHP side. MHP Chairman's Press Advisor Yıldıray Çiçek addressed this issue in his column in the Türkgün newspaper, using the expressions, "Tülay Hatimoğulları, whose side are you on? The US or Israel?"

In his article, Çiçek claimed that Israel is trying to oppose the PKK's disarmament process and support the YPG, and made the following assessment:

"While Israel is in a state of great panic in the face of the PKK entering a process of disarmament and dissolution, where does DEM Co-Chair Tülay Hatimoğulları stand in this panic? A panicked activity seems to have begun on the Israeli front.

While Netanyahu makes statements aimed at protecting the terrorist organization YPG under the mask of 'Syrian Kurds must be protected,' the fact that the Israel Defense Forces has opened a Turkish-language social media page is also noteworthy. All these developments show that Israel is preparing for black propaganda and aims to keep its supporters in Turkey active. There is a game within a game, but Turkey will disrupt these games."
