Gürsel Tekin's provincial building list sparks controversy
The list prepared by Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed to the CHP İstanbul provincial administration, for entry into the former provincial headquarters building has caused controversy within the party.
CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir announced to the public the 31-person list submitted to the police by Gürsel Tekin, who was appointed to the CHP İstanbul provincial administration by court order, for entry into the former provincial headquarters building.
Emir stated that the list included individuals who are not party members and who have insulted CHP Chairman Özgür Özel.
Ferhat İşçimen, whose name appears on the list as the building supervisor, stated in a post on his social media account that the list was neither prepared nor signed by him.
İşçimen noted that the individuals on the list were present there as volunteers to clean up the trash in the building and ensure general coordination.
İşçimen said, "Together with many friends whom our Chairman Gürsel Tekin does not even know, we are here to clean up all the unpleasantness and trash that occurred in our provincial building during the negative process our party is going through." He also added that they came to the building without any invitation and that entry and exit were slowed down due to security reasons.
In response to the claim that Murat Emir was targeting him, İşçimen expressed his reaction by saying, "The Republican People's Party is our ancestral home."
