Hakan Fidan's statement on FETÖ: 'The leader of the dark organization is dead'

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan held a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Ankara. Regarding the death of FETÖ ringleader Fetullah Gülen, Minister Fidan said, "He has been a threat to our nation rarely seen in history. The leader of the dark organization is dead."

The first official statement regarding Gülen's death came from Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

Speaking at the joint press conference held after his meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Ankara, Fidan stated regarding Gülen's death, "Our intelligence sources also confirm the death of the FETÖ organization's ringleader (Fetullah Gülen)."

DIED ON OCTOBER 20

In a post shared on the X (Twitter) account of the website known as "Herkül," which belongs to FETÖ, it was stated that Fethullah Gülen died at the hospital where he was receiving treatment on October 20 (yesterday) at 21:20. The statement said, "The esteemed Fethullah Gülen Hocaefendi, who spent every moment of his life in the service of the religion of Islam and humanity, has walked to the horizon of his soul today (October 20). Detailed information regarding the burial procedures will be shared with the public." Fethullah Gülen's nephew, Ebuseleme Gülen, also confirmed his uncle's death in a post on his social media account, saying, "Fetullah Gülen has walked to the horizon of his soul. May God have mercy on him."
