Harsh criticism from Dervişoğlu to Erdoğan: 'You are not selling water in Kasımpaşa, pull yourself together'

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu criticized President Erdoğan's latest speech, stating that it could put Turkey in a difficult position in the international arena. Dervişoğlu expressed that Erdoğan's words could be used against Turkey in the European Parliament or the United Nations. He addressed Erdoğan by saying, "Do you still think you are selling water in Kasımpaşa? Pull yourself together."

Speaking at his party's expanded provincial council meeting in Edirne, Dervişoğlu drew attention to the problems Turkey is facing. Stating that constitutional changes should not be made in response to the demands of the PKK, Dervişoğlu said it would be wrong for the government to take steps in this direction. "As long as the İYİ Party exists, the demands of terrorist organizations cannot be met," he said.

NEW ALLIANCE DISCUSSIONS

Dervişoğlu stated that the electoral system makes alliances mandatory, emphasizing that the İYİ Party will form an alliance with the nation. Expressing that it was wrong to associate them with the HDP in past elections, Dervişoğlu reminded that the People's Alliance had portrayed the HDP as being under the table. "Our alliance is with the nation; we will overcome problems with our own cadres," he said.

STANCE ON COUNTER-TERRORISM

Dervişoğlu characterized Abdullah Öcalan and the PKK as terrorists and criticized the government's stance on this issue. "Let them increase their rapport with the DEM, but we call Öcalan a terrorist," he said, questioning the government's approach to counter-terrorism. He stated that the İYİ Party would not make concessions on this matter.

Dervişoğlu emphasized that they would protect Turkey's national identity and unitary state structure, saying, "We will stand by the Republic; we will not leave Turkey without the Republic." He expressed that Turkey would find the most accurate solution under difficult conditions.
