Harsh criticism of the government from Özgür Özel! 'There is no justice, the law is not working'

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel called for regulations on the rights of martyrs and veterans, including 18 legislative proposals, and stated that those responsible for disasters such as Kartalkaya and İliç have still not been put on trial. Özel also leveled harsh criticism at President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan regarding the Palestinian issue.

Harsh criticism of the government from Özgür Özel! 'There is no justice, the law is not working'

CHP leader Özgür Özel made statements at his party's group meeting. In his speech, Özel reacted strongly to the government's lawlessness and political operations. Emphasizing that justice is not being served, that civil servants are striving to enrich themselves, and that pressure on opposition leaders is increasing, Özel stated that the CHP will fight against all forms of lawlessness.

Highlights from Özgür Özel's statements are as follows:

"Çanakkale is also a victory that marks the emergence of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk onto the stage of history as a great military genius; a victory where our grandfathers living in Anatolia and Rumelia—Turks, Kurds, Lazs, and Circassians alike—fought chest to chest so that this land would not be occupied by imperialists, where they gave their lives and lay side by side in the earth without shrouds; a victory that showed the world a great uprising, a great resistance, and that no matter how strong the enemy is or how superior their weapons are, love for the homeland, love for the country, and courage will never be helpless against any weapon; a victory that was bequeathed 110 years ago to all Republican People's Party members and everyone who loves the Republic of Turkey. Happy anniversary to us.

This evening, we will be with our martyrs' families and our veterans at iftar. They are our elders, siblings, and children whom we value greatly, whom the Republican People's Party constantly watches over, stays in contact with, and consults, regardless of the country's agenda, and for whom we are the guarantee that nothing will be done against their will.

As the Republican People's Party, exactly eight months ago, we took the demands of three major structures—which represent martyrs, martyrs' families, and veterans in the state protocol, one being a foundation and two being associations—and visited over 200 martyrs' families, martyrs' families associations, and veterans' associations in Turkey. We then entrusted a proposal that makes changes to 18 laws to the relevant committees of our Parliament eight months ago.

Their time has expired. Unfortunately, there is no work being done. In recent days, it was said that the Ministry of National Defense is working on this issue; we were hopeful, and we are following it carefully. Today is both the anniversary of the Çanakkale Victory and Martyrs' Remembrance Day.

From here, I once again call on all party groups, political party groups, and political parties without a group: we must come together to implement a set of legal regulations so that martyrs' families and veterans in Turkey no longer complain about injustice, inequality, or broken promises. I begin my words by expressing this call once again. Two major disasters are experiencing very similar legal processes.

KARTALKAYA FIRE DISASTER

One of them is the most recent one we experienced, exactly 56 days ago, the hotel fire in Kartalkaya, Bolu. 78 people, 36 of them children and babies, were massacred there. Detentions were made, and a seven-person expert committee was appointed. They were truly chosen for their merit; they had already applied to the courthouse, names had been requested from their chambers, and those names had been reported. Seven experts chosen by the prosecutors who would ensure justice in Bolu were appointed from that pool. They gave them three days.

'Report the responsibilities here to us within three days, prepare your report.' Those experts worked day and night inside the burned hotel for three days. They prepared a report. When they went to submit it, they were told, 'We cannot accept it.' Why? 'You wrote the Ministry of Tourism as responsible in this report.' 'What were we supposed to write?' they asked. 'The responsibility is entirely theirs.' From the sign at the door to all the laws, the responsibility is theirs in all regulations. 'You cannot write it like this. Delete it. Write 'Bolu Municipality' instead.' The experts are technical people. They look at the law, the order, the regulation, the correspondence.

They said, 'This place is outside the borders of Bolu Municipality. Even if it were inside, the authority lies with the Ministry of Tourism. Outside, years ago, when it was under the AK Party, an approval was given to Bolu Municipality. Since that day, neither has the AK Party been there for 15 years, nor does the Bolu Municipality have the authority to go there now. We cannot write it.' 'If you cannot write it, write your resignation.' I showed it here in recent weeks. They have such beautiful requests for dismissal.

They worked day and night for three days, and at the end of the three-day period, the report came out: 'I request my dismissal due to my workload. I cannot put in the effort here for these three days. I don't have time. I have other work. I request my dismissal.' I even found the initial appointment letter.

I found the dismissal requests. I found the report, and I shared it with you. We are visiting all the families. They all know that report. They also know the Minister of Justice who called that report 'pirated.' Everyone knows how transparent and accurately that report was written. They know how those who didn't like it stole that report with an act of judicial piracy.

The families even remind us of this: 'This minister first said, 'The report will be expanded. The committee will be expanded.' Now he says there is a new committee, but there hasn't been a new report in 53 days since that day.'

İLİÇ MINING DISASTER

We will continue to follow this issue and not let it be forgotten. Just like in İliç, just as we were in Kartalkaya from the first day, from the very first moment, with our deputies and mayors, we were in İliç 13 months ago. Nine workers lost their lives in İliç. They were buried under that massive lignite pile. The disaster came while everyone was watching.

One person was sought. There, too, the expert said: 'Those who signed off on the capacity increase here are responsible. This place could not handle the capacity increases after the first license; it was obvious what would happen.'

"THE SIGNATURE TURNED OUT TO BE MURAT KURUM'S, THEY JUST DENIED IT"

Whose signature did it turn out to be? It turned out to be Murat Kurum's. We showed the signature. The signature cast on behalf of the minister, his authorization for someone else to sign in his place—what did he do? They just denied it at first. When they saw the documents, they fell silent. At that time, they were candidates for Istanbul. We said: 'You became the disaster of İliç. Istanbulites will not allow you to become the disaster of Istanbul.' Then he turned around and appointed him minister again. Meanwhile, that report, as it says responsible public officials, meaning those who signed it, i.e., Murat Kurum, was sent to a new expert committee, not the one who wrote the report, asking 'The percentages of responsibilities were not specified.' They received a 'no responsibility' letter from the appropriate expert committee.

"NOT A SINGLE PUBLIC OFFICIAL HAS BEEN TRIED!"

There was a hearing yesterday, too. Not a single public official has been tried. In other words, bringing justice to İliç is left to the next government, the Republican People's Party government.

"TRUMP SAYS I WILL OPEN HOTELS IN GAZA"

We are in the blessed month of Ramadan. However, tears do not stop in the Islamic world. In Israel's attacks on Gaza, fifty thousand people, twenty thousand of them children, have lost their lives in a year and a half. There are fifty thousand martyrs. A ceasefire began on January 19. We expressed our satisfaction, we were hopeful. Then, after that ceasefire, Trump's orders to Palestine began, and Netanyahu, emboldened by that, said, 'If you don't do this, I will break the ceasefire. If you don't do that, I will break it.'

Unfortunately, they broke the ceasefire last night. When I was preparing for this speech, it was 300 people. By the time I got here, the number of those who died in the massacre reached 404. Many children and women lost their lives. The number is moving towards 500. It increases by 20-30 every half hour, and there is no justification. Why did you break this?

1- They did not hand over all the hostages.

2- They are rejecting the US's proposals. What is the US proposing? It will cleanse Gaza of Palestinians, send Palestinians to neighboring countries. Trump will build hotels and facilities in Gaza. 'This is a very beautiful place,' he says. He will open it to tourism.

Together with Israel, and when such a thing was discussed, the German President said, 'Deportation is unacceptable.' He said, 'This is a crime against humanity.' The President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Erdoğan, who was standing next to him, listened to Steinmeier and didn't open his mouth. He remained silent for days. I said: 'Courage does not come from attacking the opposition. It comes from upholding the Palestinian cause. Don't tell me what you said or did in the past. Tell me what you are saying to Trump today.' He tells me about 'One minute' from the past, things like that. I say, 'I am speaking today. Say something against Trump.'

A phone call took place yesterday, the day before yesterday. Finally, he spoke with Trump on the phone. We are all waiting for a harsh language against Israel, a stance that embraces Palestine, and a challenge to Trump. Our people's statement doesn't have a single word, not even the 'P' of Palestine. There is no 'I' of Israel.

VERY HARSH 'TRUMP' REACTION TO ERDOĞAN: "IF HE IS SELLING OUT THE PALESTINIAN CAUSE, SHAME ON HIM!"

There is no peace, no ceasefire, no 1967 borders, no independent Palestine. What is there? Nothing. After such meetings, a statement is made by the other side; there is no statement. Something that doesn't happen in diplomatic traditions. Why? Because he didn't say 'Palestine' or tried to say it and got a very harsh response. The information received: This side requested the Americans not to make a statement regarding the meeting. I ask Erdoğan: You will go up to that podium again at iftar this evening. What did you say to Trump about Palestine? Did you say anything? If you did, why are you afraid to write it down? If you didn't, how can you not say this? If you said it and got an answer, tell us that answer so we know, but we know this: if you want an appointment at the end of April, you will not speak against Trump, you will not uphold Palestine. For an appointment from Trump. In other words, if Erdoğan is selling out the Palestinian cause to hold onto Trump, his only hope abroad, to maintain his government here, shame on him. Shame on him.

Unfortunately, children in Palestine will no longer be able to eat candy, and Ramadan Feast is coming in Turkey, Sugar Feast is coming, and children will go to their neighbors' doors, their elders' doors, they will kiss hands, collect candy, ask for chocolate.

'FEAST' BONUS FOR RETIREES

We are in such a process that the approaching feast is choking retirees. With a 14,000 lira pension, they are facing great difficulty in paying rent, heating, getting food through their throats, feeding themselves, and also welcoming the upcoming feast. Perhaps there is a hope here, the feast bonus to be received.

Let me remind you again: There is a feast bonus that the CHP talked about in 2015, that the AKP said 'We will give it too' on June 7 and November 1, that it ignored until 2018, and that it gave 1,000 lira in the last feast while coming to the elections in 2018. We objected to that 1,000 lira that day. Why did we? We were saying minimum wage. The minimum wage was 1,400-something lira. They were giving 1,000 lira, about 65 percent of the minimum wage. Today, that 1,000 lira hasn't passed through Parliament yet, but unfortunately, Parliament is such a place, it has been turned into such a place that the lowest pension is stated to the penny by the minister 25 days before it passes through Parliament.

"HE HAS A STONY FACE, NO SHAME!"

AK Party friends also, supposedly laws are exclusively made by deputies, without ever getting tired or bored—especially they have a group chairman at their head. Oh my God! He brings exactly what the minister said 25 days ago to the penny; he has a stony face, no shame. They pass the same thing. Now, last week, he will make the 3,000 lira 4,000 lira. Erdoğan tells every good news to be given in the evening with great relish.

Before it even came to Parliament, they had that very precious brother of mine announce, 'It will be 4,000 lira.' Now it has passed the committee, it will pass the Parliament. Last week, they couldn't even manage to run the Parliament. They will make that 3,000 into 4,000. We are saying it clearly from here: Do not make that 3,000 lira 4,000 lira. Let that 3,000 lira be at least one minimum wage, 22,000 lira. At least let the retirees not be left with their heads bowed this feast. I am telling our Group Deputy Chairmen. If they are making 3,000 lira one minimum wage, work day and night, support it, pass it. If they are going to make 3,000 lira 4,000 lira, let them do it however they know how. Don't you dare say 'It will catch up here, it will catch up there,' let them work until the morning of the feast, let them pass it. We are not in on 4,000 lira, brother. If you make it 22,400 lira, we give our support.

FEAST CANDY CALCULATION

Look now, we made a Ramadan gesture to Erdoğan. What was he saying? 'He is touring Turkey inch by inch, true. He goes into goldsmiths, he does gold calculations,' he says. 'Stop the gold calculation,' he says. Why? Sir, 'Before you came, the lowest pension was buying eight quarter gold coins. Now it buys two and a half,' I say, so he gets upset. Or 'The minimum wage was seven quarter gold coins, now it has fallen to four,' I say, he gets angry. 'Stop the gold calculation,' he says.

I didn't break his heart during Ramadan. I stopped the gold calculation. Now the calculation of the day: Children are waiting for feast candy from their elders, right? The 1,000 lira he gave under our pressure in 2018 was buying 25 kilograms of feast candy. The 4,000 lira they say let's give today buys 6 kilos of feast candy. A kilo of feast candy has become 700 lira; it was 40 lira that day. Open TÜİK, look at the lists. Go ask the candy maker, those who sell feast candy.

FEAST BONUS FOR RETIREES

While 1,000 TL in 2018 bought 25 kg of feast candy, today's 4,000 TL buys 6 kg of feast candy.

This is the price the retiree pays for Erdoğan's management of Turkey. There is a loss of 19 kg of feast candy just in feast candy. Such a feast is coming, and they are pushing 4,000 lira like good news. 4,000 lira is not good news, it is an insult to the retiree. We do not accept it.

ANNOUNCED THE POLLS

I told Erdoğan: 'There are polls. There are party breakdowns in the polls. I am looking, you look too,' I said. 'Don't cut and paste such false videos and put them there and make us watch them in the group. Put up a poll, let's watch,' I said.

First, while we are on the subject of polls, let me say something. You ask 'How are the polls?' sometimes; just like the day it was founded, the Republican People's Party is Turkey's first party.

Poll question: Do you think that home gatherings with family, spouses, and friends have decreased because the cost of hosting guests has increased? Turkey average: 60 percent say it has decreased a lot, 24 percent say it has decreased. 84 percent of citizens say, 'Home visits have decreased due to economic difficulties.' Look, those who say it hasn't decreased, those who say it has decreased a lot and decreased are here. The average of those who say it hasn't decreased in Turkey is 14%.

Party breakdown: 19 percent of AK Party supporters say it hasn't decreased. 81 percent say it has decreased. 7 percent of CHP supporters, 24 percent of MHP supporters, 10 percent of İYİ Party supporters, 6 percent of DEVA supporters, 15 percent of New Welfare Party supporters say, 'It hasn't decreased. We can visit each other like before.' The rest say, 'Because of these economic conditions, we can neither host guests for iftar nor go visiting after iftar.'

Erdoğan, while the answer given by 80 percent of your own voters is clear, do not persecute this country anymore, get off the back of this country.

We all see that the government has recently constructed a new game, a new perception management over the Kurdish issue, which is on the country's agenda. We are conducting all developments carefully, meticulously, cautiously, without breaking the hope of those who have hope in us, but also without falling for the game, and by telling all our interlocutors that we will not fall for it.

There is a historical consistency in our party, a complete unity of discourse in our group and among our members, and a correct stance. We never abandon that stance. We accept the existence of the Kurdish issue. We know that this can only be overcome by democratization. For this, we think that Turks, Kurds, Lazs, and Circassians must cooperate, join hands, and join hearts with a great democracy package to overcome this issue.

Without excluding any segment, we accept this Parliament as the ground and we proceed on this basis. Especially the small partner of the government, by gathering fire on itself for a period and now by firing at irrelevant places regarding this process, is trying to manage perception, strange questions, strange efforts.

In the past, they would say, 'Can you say this to the DEM Party? Can you say that?' or to the CHP, 'How can you celebrate the feast with the DEM Party? How can you shake hands in Parliament? How can you visit?' Now they are in a relationship far beyond those. We saw those images yesterday, we saw those photos.

If you bring out the words they said in the past and throw them in their faces, there is politics there, but our job is not to throw their inconsistencies in their faces when they all come to what we did right yesterday, when they come to the point of accepting a party that received 6.5 million votes as a political interlocutor; it is to live the pride of the CHP's consistency and righteousness, and to know that the point they have reached is the right point, and that the zigzags, 180-degree turns, etc., of the past are left to their corpus, archive, and past—that is enough for us, but what is that? What is that? Gentlemen, they are asking the CHP this: 'First, the CHP will explain this: Are you against the goal of a Turkey without terrorism?' Good heavens.

"YOU HAVE ALL COME TO THE POINT WHERE THE CHP STANDS!"

The Republican People's Party has earned everyone's appreciation for years in keeping its distance from terrorism and in maintaining its most consistent line on the terrorism problem and the Kurdish issue. You have all come to the point where the CHP stands. We will see, will you be able to take those steps in the continuation, or will you not? But the place we stand has been correct, history has registered us. The man asks us, 'Will you say a Turkey without terrorism?' I give a clear answer, clear. We are in favor of a Turkey without terrorism. We are in favor of terrorism stopping. We are the chief defender of a Turkey without terrorism, but we are against all kinds of terrorism, all kinds of violence.

'MAFIA TERROR' QUESTION TO MHP

We are also against mafia terror. Those who ask this question, are you also against mafia terror? As much democracy as possible to solve the terrorism problem. We are preparing our democratization package. When the table is set, when the Parliament works, we are there. Well, are you in? Immediately along with that, to root out all kinds of illegal formations outside the state in Turkey, to root out mafias, to root out the collection mafias and drug mafias that roam Turkey, so that no one hires a hitman from drug gangs and comes and shoots a Nationalist Hearths Chairman in Ankara, at the exit of Friday prayers, in the middle of Ankara, and so that no one remains silent about this, are you in to root out the mafia along with all kinds of violence? Give me the answer to that. That's why, does the CHP have the courage to say 'Turkey without terrorism'? I am saying it right here: I want a Turkey without terrorism. I want a democratic Turkey. I want a Turkey in peace. I want a Turkey in security. I want the root of terrorism to be dug out, and the root of the mafia to be dug out.

The process we are in, unfortunately, this wrist, this wrist is not Özgür Özel's wrist. This wrist is the wrist of the country's founding will, the founding party, the members of the party that held its first congress in Sivas. The power of this wrist comes from its foundation. The power of this wrist comes from the patriotism of all its members.

OPERATIONS AGAINST CHP MUNICIPALITIES

Those who cannot bend this wrist continue to attack by using the public power in their hands, by using justice as a stick, with judicial harassment. Without saying what I will say about them, those who extract aid to a terrorist organization from handing over a funeral with the instruction of a governor 14 years ago, with the request of a district governor, those who 12 years ago could not provide security themselves and plagued municipalities with a puppet organization called DHKP-C, a puppet organization, and a process where mayors requested protection from them, requested weapons, were threatened by this organization, now 12 years later, turning back and calling it 'aid' to that terrorist organization, arresting a mayor of that period or putting a mayor in the status of a victim, arresting his private secretary, arresting our deputy mayors...

"DO NOT TRY TO CREATE ORGANIZATIONS, CREATE CRIMES IN LABORATORIES!"

In other words, he can no longer talk about the connection with the existing 40-year-old terrorist organization, it is changing form. He is creating new terrorist organizations or terrorist organizations from the ballot box, a prospective terrorist organization:

Peoples' Democratic Congress (HDK). There are those who were acquitted in 2020. In 2022, the Izmir High Criminal Court said, 'The Peoples' Democratic Congress is not a terrorist organization,' a confirmed decision, a finalized decision. Despite that, for the operation against our municipalities for the future, one HDK member from every municipality. Or he extracts a terrorist organization from the ballot box, DHKP-C. Those who could not provide public order that day are now trying to take action against our mayor, whom it threatened at the time, saying 'He helped there.' I am reminding them. Look, don't come up with such inventions.

Do not try to create organizations, create crimes in laboratories. The past of those who do this is clear, and their present is also clear.

"I AM ADDRESSING TODAY'S ZEKERIYA ÖZ'S, HE LATER FLED THE BORDER LIKE A RAT!"

Today, I am telling today's Zekeriya Öz's: Zekeriya Öz would do what you are doing. Then he fled the border like a rat. Do you see what state you are in?

I have no words for a single judge or prosecutor who says, 'I am at peace, I am doing the right thing, I am seeking justice' when they put their head on the pillow at night, but to those who say, 'I am taking orders, I am doing the requirements of my duty' and become a tool for politics, I say: What you are doing will sooner or later not leave your collar, both in the days when you will truly be held accountable in free courts in Turkey and in the hereafter. You are eating the rights of the people, you will pay the price for this.

Now, of course, to the metropolitan, to the district, to the IMM, let me give a reminder of the same scale. I remind the one who is very hardworking, who even postponed his Umrah to work on these matters with all his might: Bayrampaşa Municipality, 2021, maintenance and repair of fire protection materials. A 1.6 million lira tender, sorry, a purchase made with the exception provisions of the Public Procurement Law for 1.6 million. No tender, 1.6 million is paid. The municipality is being examined, we look, and this appears: The company's address is the address of the municipality's Turkish Islamic Arts Center. Good God! Why would a company be in the municipality? They go out to investigate, they look. It is understood that such a company does not exist, that it is completely a front, that the invoices it cuts are nylon invoices, and that it is paid for a nylon invoice cut by a company that is shown as if it were established within the municipality for a service that the municipality did not receive, but the company does not exist. 1.6 million, with the money of that day, was paid from the municipality to a non-existent company and evaporated.

This file was delivered to the district governorship, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, and the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Trade in December 2024. You see what the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor has been busy with since December 2024. Well, why aren't you busy with this matter? Why don't you open the cover of this file? Why don't you call the Bayrampaşa Mayor of that day for questioning? Why don't you search his house at four in the morning? Why don't you keep everyone around him for four days and refer them with a request for arrest? If it's a duty, it's a duty; if it's a municipality, it's a municipality. On one side, there is no evidence, fabricated evidence, it doesn't become evidence, then it doesn't enter the indictment, it is only served. When they can't find anything, a secret witness, it's secret, you can't know what he said, you can't read it, you can't see it. Here there is such a clear violation, you don't move a page. I will ask about Bayrampaşa again next week. Well, Balıkesir Metropolitan, it opens a poll tender only three months before the election. We opened one too, 18 firms applied. 12 took the specifications, we worked with eight. Only one firm applied, and they supposedly paid 104 million lira for the satisfaction survey they had done. The offer given by the same company when it scaled it a year ago was 3.5 million lira.

"HE HAD A 3 MILLION SURVEY DONE FOR 104 MILLION!"

Balıkesir Metropolitan had a survey that would be done for 3 million lira done for 104 million lira. They paid one installment of the money one day before March 31, and one installment on April 1, when they lost the election, and closed the debt. The company to which they paid 104 million lira for a 3 million lira survey and lost the election. Oh, and according to the survey he did, the AK Party was winning the election, the Balıkesir Metropolitan. 104 million lira was paid from the pockets of Balıkesir residents for a survey that could not get the election result right. Balıkesir Chief Public Prosecutor, do you hear me? If you hear me, take action, let's see. If you don't hold the previous Balıkesir Mayor accountable, you cannot say a word to the Republican People's Party from now on. Challenge accepted.

"THE HAMIDIYE WATER FILE WAS SEIZED BY SOYLU"

We will carry out an operation on the IMM. Go ahead, do it. Hamidiye Water, an affiliate of Istanbul Metropolitan, the year 2016, takes over a company called Güven Water, takes it into its structure. Our people come in 2019. A valuation is made for that company, which was taken over for 25-75 million lira, it's not worth 25 million. They paid 1 billion lira to a company that is worth 330 million lira with today's money. 700 million lira is missing. In 2021, two years after taking Istanbul, this file is prepared in a perfect manner.

Just as it was about to be given to the prosecutor's office, the civil inspectors sent by Süleyman Soylu seized it. Since that day, there has been no sound for four years. I am addressing the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor from here: The Hamidiye Water file is one of the 37 files seized by the hand of Süleyman Soylu. Will you look at those files, or will you be busy blocking President Ekrem's path? Answer this first.

WHAT REPORT DID MIT GIVE TO ERKAN KORK?

Of course, I cannot pass without underlining the filth we are in. The main issue, we are in such a country that Erkan Kork, the owner of Pozitif Bank, Payfix, and Flash TV, was arrested. This person was arrested on the grounds that he 'laundered illegal betting money by forming a gang,' but for this person, supposedly if someone is going to establish a bank in Turkey, a MIT report is requested. They gave a bank to this person. I am very curious about what MIT wrote. I am also asking the President, to whom he is attached.

If a person is going to buy a television channel, there is a security investigation; I am curious about what they said about him, but we are in such a country: The channel called Flash TV was being sold due to economic difficulties. Halk TV, the most watched, rapidly strengthening channel of recent times, went and talked to buy Flash TV and to have a channel that broadcasts other than a news channel, they agreed. They paid the money, they paid a high deposit. At that time, someone intervened, and AK Party columnists told this off with pride. They broke that sale. They didn't let it be sold to Halk TV, they made a business person close to the AK Party buy Flash TV. It happened before our eyes. Then journalists and television programmers close to the AK Party started to go to Flash TV, started their duties. With that one word of his, of the AK Party, can these things happen in the AK Party without Erdoğan? They can't. The beloved, trusted business person they said, 'You will sell Flash TV to this person, not to Halk TV,' with one word of the AK Party, of Erdoğan, is Erkan Kork.

My word from here is this: we all know this rottenness, but there are homes that are falling apart, right, from illegal betting, because he couldn't support his home with that tiny salary, those who win when they play the first two, saying 'If I put this in too, I will win more' and fall into the trap, those who lose with illegal betting, right, the marriages that are destroyed, those who commit suicide, children left fatherless, those who lose the money that doesn't go through the child's throat to illegal betting, right, that is it, the one who set up and manages that whole wheel, who steals your child's sustenance, your family's peace, Erkan Kork, is the reputable business person of the AK Party, my brother. Your money is in their pockets.

By the way, last week, while I was explaining these things at this podium, while I was criticizing the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor for being a tool for political operations and saying, 'You are a civil servant. You are living on the salary you get from the state, from all of us,' meaning, 'You are doing evil to us with the money you get from me,' a friend called out, 'That' salary, he gave the name of a businessman. I objected too. 'No way,' I said. 'Civil servant, what does it have to do with it? He gets a salary from the state.' I wish I hadn't said it.

What is raining down, what is raining down. I can't believe it, I don't want to believe it, but they say a prosecutor has a very elite friend, they call him 'the vault of secrets.' In other words, the vault, the vault of secrets, they were filling the secrets into the vault together. They say that a very elite friend of his never leaves his side, that he accommodated that elite friend in the judges' house for two years, 'There is a record,' they say.

They say there are entrance cards stamped by the Ministry of Justice during his Deputy Ministry of Justice, that he gets into official vehicles, 'There are images,' they say. We hear that this vault of secrets never leaves his side, and they say: that they went and saw a very luxurious yacht worth 2.2 million euros with this vault of secrets, in other words, they are talking about a yacht worth 90 million lira with today's money. I calculated, a prosecutor in Turkey, who gets a good salary compared to our other civil servants, can only buy that yacht if he works and saves money for 64 years. It is said that they are looking at such a yacht with a buyer's eye. I swear I don't know what other movies we will see in the coming days, but I think we might see the movie of this soon. From here, I will not let this go, and I, who... they threw words at me.

I said: 'No way, civil servant. He lives on the salary he gets from the state.' It is said that he is looking at luxury yachts worth the total of a 64-year salary to be received from the state, I don't want to believe it. I will say proof. If he were to prove it, he would prove this: They spread slander about our congress, about our congress that has been a candidate for intra-party democracy in Turkey: '1,200 mobile phones were distributed.' They couldn't prove a single one. This thing you call a mobile phone has an IMEI number, I don't know what. Even when you plug it in, it registers itself there. All of our TR ID numbers are clear, the line is clear, the SMS companies are in hand. Come on, find 1,200 phones, you liars. Sir, 'Don't just look at the value of the phone,' he says. A cold wallet is being loaded into it. Mr. Akın knew how these things were done. Money was also being smuggled abroad with cold wallets, etc. Mr. Akın knew these. I am asking from here, brother: Prove it, prove it. Not 1,200 phones, not 12 phones, prove one mobile phone. I will wash the forehead of that hand that will smear the Republican People's Party, the founding party of this country, the party that has remained in opposition for 50 years and has not been indebted to anyone, I will wash its forehead.

What I have told here, of course, would not happen even in third-world countries.

It showed its objection to so much poverty, so much injustice in the March 31 elections, it gave a harsh warning. We understood the duty, the responsibility that the result imposed on us. We expected the government to draw its own lesson from here, but it didn't happen at all.

We said: 'The nation gave you its message. Retirees gave it, minimum wage earners gave it, farmers, tradesmen, especially young people gave it. Address the future anxieties of these people, solve their livelihood problems. Let us support you.' But it was understood that instead of enriching their own rich and worrying about the citizen's trouble, they have no other purpose than the gang of five, the forty thieves being in the government.

We said: 'If there is no livelihood, there is an election.' They also said: 'If you want an election, we will start judicial harassment against you in return for this, we will not let you breathe.' On October 9, a politician, a political figure, who is a political figure? In Erdoğan's words, 'In the past, ministers were political, assistants were technical, undersecretaries. Now ministers are technical, deputy ministers are political,' he was saying.

He made the Deputy Minister of Justice the Chief Public Prosecutor of Istanbul. Since that day, on October 30, completely different information was served that day, none of it is in the indictment. Our Ahmet Özer, our Esenyurt Mayor, was taken with FETÖ tactics.

He waited for the indictment for months. The indictment came out in February, they gave the court to the end of May. Their intention is until they hold the court, because he will be released in the first court anyway. There is nothing in the indictment, what they said in those first days.

Ahmet Özer made a condolence call to a fellow citizen whose mother died 12 years ago, 'Your mother raised very precious children like you,' he said, one of his siblings was a PKK member. They connect this to 'praising terrorism,' 'being associated with a terrorist organization,' etc., think about it. On January 17, to our Rıza Akpolat, our Beşiktaş Mayor, saying 'The big one of the turnips is in the saddlebag,' on January 20 to our Youth Branch President Cem Aygün, 'We reacted to this on the same day,' to Ekrem İmamoğlu and me, on January 27, 'They keep choosing the same person from 8,000 experts. They find the one in a million, one in a billion probability,' he said, to President Ekrem.

Also, to the journalist who reports what the Republican People's Party says, to the intellectual, writer, drawer, academician who supports the discourse, to those who tweet, to politicians, to political party chairmen, with lawlessness that no one can think of. They continued with such madness as to make detentions as if they had the authority, making detentions from Istanbul for someone sitting in Ankara, from Istanbul for a tweet thrown in Antalya, from Istanbul for a statement made to Kayseri, arresting for one thing and arresting for another.

"WE WILL WIN, THEY WILL LOSE"

We didn't bow, we didn't get defeated, we didn't surrender, we challenged. We said, 'Stand up.' 'We will all resist this lawlessness together.' On January 28, we explained the decision to determine our presidential candidate by primary election from this podium. On February 10, they opened two more cases against our congress, and on February 11, with a 'city consensus' operation against CHP municipalities.

President Ekrem applied for the primary election on February 21. On February 22, they opened a case against his diploma. On February 27, they opened a case against our Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler, on March 3 against our Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik, on March 4 against our Istanbul Provincial Congress. There is a case against the Istanbul provincial building, there is a case against the congress, there is a case against the provincial chairman. We have our cat named Şanslı at the door, they are dealing with all of us except Şanslı. They have one concern: We will win, they will lose, they cannot digest this.

On March 10, seizing the assets of President Ekrem's circle, on March 12, I explained it a little while ago, attacking the municipalities of Ataşehir, Şişli, Sarıyer, Maltepe with the nonsense of DHKP-C 10 years ago, 12 years ago. We, whether they serve in the past or serve here today, even if our paths have separated with some, even if they have been candidates against us, they were holding the CHP flag of that day in their hands. We, as our entire organization, stand by these friends of ours, both themselves and their families, to the end. The Republican People's Party is not a party of interest relations. The Republican People's Party is the party of the idea of the republic. It is the party of the idea of democracy. It is the party of the idea of the rule of law. It is the party of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who brought all of these to these lands.

Now they have come, on one hand, they are trying to bring a political ban on President Ekrem with six different cases. Europeans hear it, they can't believe it. And they say, 'Diploma, diploma, what is that?' I swear there is no translation into German or English for what they are doing here."
