He had canceled all his programs! Özgür Özel visited İmamoğlu

Republican People's Party (CHP) Chairman Özgür Özel visited Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Mayor and CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held at the Marmara Prison in Silivri.

CHP Istanbul Provincial Chairman Özgür Çelik and Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Nuri Aslan were also in Silivri just before Özel, who arrived at the Marmara Closed Prison at 12:50 PM.

Özel is making statements following his meeting with İmamoğlu.

In his speech, Özel included the following remarks:

"I met with our İBB Mayor and presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, our Şişli Mayor Resul Emrah Şahan, our Beykoz Mayor Alaattin Köseler, our Esenyurt Mayor Ahmet Özer, Tayfun Kahraman, Selçuk Kozağaçlı, Mehmet Ali Çalışkan, and Ümit Özdağ.

Tomorrow, we will carry out our work at the Istanbul Provincial Headquarters. On Tuesday, we will follow Ümit Özdağ's hearing at the Çağlayan Courthouse, and on Wednesday, we will follow the hearing of our Youth Branch Chairman Cem Aydın at the courtroom in Silivri. On Thursday, May 1st, we will be in the squares with the laborers.

I just left Ümit Özdağ's side. We evaluated his indictment. The indictment is completely empty; it has no substance whatsoever. He is not detained because of this file, but he is detained because of the file on June 11th, and he expects to be released there, as do we. We advocate for the removal of a great shame in terms of the country's democracy.
