Doctors have decided to hospitalize the arrested Beylikdüzü Mayor Mehmet Murat Çalık.

Çalık, who previously underwent treatment for acute leukemia and lymphoma, lost 18 kilos during his detention. His lawyers reported that his previous illnesses have recurred and that his current health condition is not suitable for prison conditions.
On June 4, Murat Çalık was transferred from Silivri Prison to İzmir Buca F-Type Prison, citing security and health conditions.
