He had resigned from the CHP: Haymana Mayor Levent Koç is officially in the AKP

The AKP Ankara Organization Meeting was held at the ATO Congresium. A new addition to the party took place during the meeting. Haymana Mayor Levent Koç, who resigned from the CHP, has officially joined the AKP.

Addressing party members at the meeting at the ATO Congresium, President Erdoğan recounted the developments the party has experienced in Ankara from its founding to the present day. Erdoğan stated, "Ankara witnessed every stage of this party, from its inception in the hearts of the nation to its march toward power. We founded our party in Ankara. We grew it with the prayers of our brothers and sisters in Ankara."

Highlights from Erdoğan's speech are as follows:

"Look, when we were founding our party, almost no one thought our country would cover such great distances in such a short time. They did not think it possible for Turkey to make such great strides in such a short time in areas like education, health, justice, security, transportation, economy, foreign policy, and tourism. Very few people believed that our country could write a success story in the defense industry, where Ankara took on the role of a locomotive. If we had said we would increase our exports from 36 billion dollars to the 275 billion dollar level, our tourism revenue from 12.4 billion dollars to the 65 billion dollar level, our defense exports from 248 million dollars to the 11 billion dollar level, and our national income from 236 billion dollars to 1.6 trillion dollars, we would have been accused of being merchants of dreams."

'WE WILL HOST THE NATO MEETING IN ANKARA'

While our political rivals are fighting over seats, we are struggling to prepare Turkey for the future. Ankara will host important summits this year. We will hold the NATO meeting in Ankara. We will host leaders, including Trump, in our capital. The Turkic States Summit will also take place in Ankara. The heart of the Turkic world will beat in Ankara. Ankara's international visibility will increase more than ever before. We are continuing our preparations intensively. We have revitalized Ankara Airport, which was built by the order of Gazi Mustafa Kemal and is the base of military aviation. We will ease both the airline and highway traffic of Esenboğa."

Following the speech, the names of those who recently joined the party were called to the stage. When Levent Koç's name was announced, Koç, who had left the CHP a short time ago, took his place on the stage. President Erdoğan personally pinned the AKP badge on Koç.
