The new Chairman of the CHP is Özgür Özel. Özel became chairman by receiving 812 votes. Kılıçdaroğlu received 536 votes.

HE BECAME THE 8TH CHAIRMAN OF THE CHP

Özgür Özel became the 8th Chairman of the CHP, the first political party of the Republic of Turkey, following Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, İsmet İnönü, Bülent Ecevit, Deniz Baykal, Hikmet Çetin, Altan Öymen, and Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.

Following Özel's election as CHP Chairman, İnce's words, 'Even if Atatürk came, his chances at the convention would be slim,' have come to the agenda once again.

In an interview with İsmail Saymaz, İnce spoke about the calls for change within the CHP, stating, "Even if Atatürk came, his chances at the convention would be slim. Because the structure has been transformed. As long as the cacophony continues, the metropolitan cities will also be lost."
