Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu's diploma was the subject of a report stating there was "no irregularity," and now the Dean of the Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration, Ahmet Köse, has resigned from his post.

HE EXPLAINED WHY HE RESIGNED

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Köse, who declared İmamoğlu's diploma to be "in order," explained his reason for resigning, as reported by Gürkan Zengin of Ekol TV, by saying, "I submitted my resignation due to the fatigue brought on by long-term management and the process experienced in the recent period."

It was learned that the term of Prof. Dr. Kamil Ahmet Köse, who began his deanship in January 2023, was set to expire in approximately 10 and a half months.

CHP presidential candidate hopeful Ekrem İmamoğlu, in a speech he gave in Kastamonu regarding the diploma investigation, had stated, "They put so much pressure on Dean Professor Doctor Kamil Ahmet Köse, who gave this report in 2020, and they made his life so miserable that this scientist of many years has been forced to resign today."
