The preliminary expert report on the fire disaster in Kartalkaya, which was disclosed by CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, has caused a stir in public opinion. While the report identified those responsible and at fault for the fire, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç reacted to Özel's post.

TUNÇ HAD SAID THE REPORT WAS NOT YET PREPARED

Minister of Justice Tunç stated that the expert examinations were still ongoing, saying, "When the ongoing expert examinations are completed and the report is prepared, everything will be shared with the public in a transparent manner." Furthermore, he described the report shared by Özgür Özel as "pirated" and used the following expressions:

"It is a great irresponsibility and lack of conscience to try to mislead the public and influence the investigation by sharing a pirated text that has not been submitted to the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which is conducting the investigation, and which has no official status."

DID THE TRT REPORTER REFUTE MINISTER TUNÇ?

Despite Minister Tunç's statement that the report was not ready, the words of TRT Haber reporter Hilal Yıldırım caused confusion. Speaking on a live broadcast approximately one hour before Tunç's statement, Yıldırım said, "We can provide the information that the expert report has been completed and sent to the prosecutor's office within the scope of the investigation."

ÖZEL: PRESSURE IS BEING PUT ON THE EXPERT COMMITTEE

Özgür Özel, on the other hand, pointed to those responsible with the expert report he shared and claimed that pressure was being put on the expert committee. Özel said, "We do not hesitate to announce those responsible for the fire. The public has a right to know the truth."
