MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli scolded journalist Hilal Köylü, who asked him a question. Speaking on a SÖZCÜ TV broadcast, journalist Köylü said, "My passion for journalism is already well-known." Stating that "my phone hasn't stopped ringing since this morning," Köylü said that there were MHP members among those who called her. 

Köylü said, "This is not the first time I have encountered such responses. All my colleagues who follow hot politics in Ankara know that we always direct our questions to politicians with very different styles." 

Köylü used the following expressions: 

We are talking about a political leader who shapes politics and is a partner in the government. It is a very critical issue of the recent period; is there a new initiative, how will the Kurdish issue be solved? It is widely discussed in political circles whether the fight against terrorism will continue, and whether there is unity or disagreement among the government partners. I came to ask the question on everyone's mind. Beyond being extremely silent, Erdoğan continues to refrain from commenting, especially on the Öcalan issue. He praises Bahçeli and his leadership. Many assessments have been made regarding whether the invitation of Öcalan to the Parliament is part of this process or not, and it seems there are very different disagreements.

Bahçeli said, "For once, my journalist brothers and sisters should stop behaviors that provoke Turkey and fuel discrimination with false information. If you cannot stop, quit the profession."
