HÜDA PAR holds 'Palestine' talks with Gelecek Party and Saadet Party: Rallies to be merged

HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu and Gelecek Party Chairman Ahmet Davutoğlu met at the Parliament. During the meeting regarding the Israel-Palestine conflict, Davutoğlu stated that he always stands with the Palestinian people.

"WE HOPE FOR A CEASEFIRE"

Davutoğlu said the following:

"The most important reason for the recent events is that the attacks on the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Palestine have been carried out openly before the eyes of the international community and the Islamic world for months. The entry of Israeli police into a sacred place with dogs and boots, the indifference of the Islamic world to this, and the subsequent abandonment of Palestinians through normalization processes led Palestinians to think, 'We have been left to our fate.' Finally, Benjamin Netanyahu used a map without Palestine in his speech at the UN General Assembly, and the international community remained silent on this as well."

Stating that there is great suffering and that the Palestinian cause should not be overshadowed by some negative images, Davutoğlu said, "We hope that a ceasefire will be reached as soon as possible."

Davutoğlu said that a process must be initiated in which the status of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem will not change.

"WE HOPE TO SEND A MESSAGE TO SOCIETY"

Yapıcıoğlu also visited Saadet Party Chairman Temel Karamollaoğlu at the party's headquarters. Following the visit, Yapıcıoğlu and Karamollaoğlu made statements to the press. Karamollaoğlu stated that they would have a proposal as the Saadet Party Group in Parliament today to evaluate the developments in Palestine.

Expressing that HÜDA PAR also stated that they would support their proposal, Karamollaoğlu said, "A number of rallies have been organized in Turkey to date to make this issue known to society. If it is meant to be, we will have a rally in Istanbul this weekend. Likewise, HÜDA PAR made such a request today. We hope to send a message to society by merging these rallies."

RALLIES WILL BE MERGED

Yapıcıoğlu also emphasized that a new process began on October 7 and that Palestinian lands are under occupation.

Yapıcıoğlu added the following:

"There will be a request for a general debate as the Saadet Party Group. We also had thoughts of organizing some rallies over the weekend. They had already made their applications. Instead of two separate rallies in the same city on the same day, we agreed to merge these rallies. Hopefully, we will organize a joint rally in Yenikapı, Istanbul, on Sunday. This is not just an issue for one party or two parties. The cause of Jerusalem, the cause of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, is a cause that concerns the entire Islamic Ummah. The Al-Aqsa Mosque is the first Qibla for all of us. The people suffering there are also our brothers and sisters."
