Identity of the mayor Erdoğan allegedly asked to 'join us' has been revealed
The identity of the mayor who was allegedly told by President and AKP Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, "How did you win that district? I couldn't believe my eyes," and "I have a congress in February, will you join us?" has been revealed.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel reacted to the detention of Beşiktaş Mayor Rıza Akpolat at his party's headquarters.

Özel stated that Erdoğan personally called a CHP mayor and offered them a transfer to the AKP.
According to a report by İsmail Saymaz from Halk TV, Özel said that Erdoğan told the mayor, "You are successful. How did you win that district? I couldn't believe my eyes. I have a congress in February, will you join us? You are a clean man, I know that's why I'm calling you, but they will smear you, God forbid."
It has been alleged that the CHP mayor with whom Erdoğan personally met is Ali Demirçalı, the Mayor of Yüreğir in Adana.
