İmamoğlu comments on the 'opening' commission: He expressed support

Republican People's Party (CHP) Presidential Candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu made an important statement regarding the commission to be established under the roof of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM).

It had been announced that the commission's first meeting would be held next Tuesday. In his statement regarding this process, İmamoğlu emphasized transparency, sincerity, and sensitivity.

In his message, İmamoğlu stated that the commission is not just a political platform but is important for the future of the Republic of Turkey. He shared the message: "It is our hope and wish that a historic process will be carried out in which sincerity, sensitivity, and transparency will be applied by all political parties and our deputies serving on the commission for the future of the Republic of Turkey, the future of our nation, and our indivisible integrity."

"We are waging a great struggle. Together with our nation, we continue to work and produce day and night for the dream of a Turkey where democracy, justice, prosperity, stability, and peace prevail. We are pursuing a politics that is a balm, not salt, to the wounds we have suffered for years; we are working with reason and patience to enter a new era where peace and tranquility prevail. The Republican People's Party is the representative of our nation's longing for peace and tranquility. The Republican People's Party is the representative of democracy and the voice of the nation everywhere and under all conditions. The Republican People's Party is Turkey's leading party with the great responsibility it bears toward our nation. The establishment of the parliamentary commission we proposed two months ago and the fact that decisions will be taken by a qualified majority have been the right steps taken on the path to Turkey reaching a democratic, fair, and lasting peace. We have expressed from the very beginning that we, representing our party, are part of this responsibility in the TBMM, which we have shown as the sole venue where the Kurdish issue will be discussed. Let no one have any doubt that we will fulfill the responsibility that falls upon us for our country and our nation by participating in the commission established in the TBMM. We want a Turkey where weapons are completely silenced. We want a Turkey free from terror and conflict."
